With Ford promising interbred SUVs and Dodge having lead in the interior space section, GMC was unlikely to stay behind in the $45,000 priced SUV list. Along with its Yukon series, General Motors will also roll out its new 2017 GMC Acadia Denali. The car will be available in 5 different shades and will come equipped with a host of new features.
2017 GMC Acadia Denali – Exterior Body Changes and Interior Cabin Design
The new version of Acadia Denali will have a curb weight of around 3,956 pounds. Also, its wheelbase will be maintained at 112.5 inches. Overall length will measure around 193.6 inches while its height and width will be around 66 inches and 75.4 inches respectively. These figures depict that the new Acadia will be almost 6.4 inches shorter in wheelbase and 3.5 inches narrower. Also, it will shorten its length by almost 7.2 inches compared to the previous Acadia.
Also, GMC Acadia Denali 2017 is almost 700 pounds lighter this time. This is owing to its smaller platform; however, the SUV will share its chassis with the 2017 Cadillac XT7. Hence, expect high-strength steel usage along with an aluminium-intensive body frame.
Although it is marketed in the Acadia series, the front grilles are a giveaway of it being a Denali. Box-shaped, with mesh structure and the GMC badge sitting centrally on it. Headlights are sharper and are modelled in the Acadia style. The 2017 GMC Acadia Denali will also sport 20-inch wheels along with silver accents. This will enhance surface grip and enable easy off-road driving.
Also, the taillights will sport an inverted C-shape design. It will extend a bit on the hatch door. A chrome bar will run along the length in between the two rear lamps. The rear bumper will have a chrome finish with a two chrome exhaust tip placed at two ends.
The front seats will be 8-way power adjustable. Both heating and ventilation facilities will be available on them. Second-row seating will also come with heating features. Steering wheel will have power tilt features and telescopic movement facilities will be included in it. This might be leather draped to enhance grip and sport heating options.
Infotainment of 2017 GMC Acadia Denali will contain an 8-inch customizable LCD screen with all types of vehicle and media control. Also, feedbacks from the car’s cruise control, lane keep assist, parking assist and collision control will come to this screen.
2017 GMC Acadia Denali – Main Power Production Unit
No change in the powertrain department for the new 2017 GMC Acadia Denali. It will retain GMC’s range-topping 3.3-liter V6 engine. This will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission system. Together, the engine will be capable of producing a maximum power of around 310 hp. Torque ratings will be around 271 lb-ft.
The 2017 Acadia Denali is expected to reach a top speed of around 115 mph. The SUV will be capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than 8 seconds and reaching the three-figure mark will take around 17 seconds. Fuel economy may see an improvement this time due to its lighter body-built. Expect it to have an EPA of 25 mpg within city limits and 26 mpg on highways.

The price of this 2017 GMC Acadia Denali will be around $45,000. The launch date is not yet official, but it will probably be on the market in late 2017.
