The Infiniti SUV is set to release a new QX50 for the 2017 model year. The model will offer more utility to buyers than the outgoing model did. In addition, it will feature the latest technology meant to improve its comfort and luxury offering. Read along to find out more:

The exterior design of the 2017 Infiniti QX50 looks sharp and classy. Overall, the model’s low stance and slanting roofline makes it look like a big coupe. The sleek look of the crossover is further enhanced by two spoilers on the roof and another at the rear. At the front, the crossover SUV features a larger grille which is flanked by new adaptive LED headlights and LED DRLs. Its bumper has been redesigned which makes the front fascia look more aggressive. The bumper is integrated with redesigned fog lights and air vents. At its rear, you will find bigger taillights with LED lighting. The automaker has also added a dual-exhaust system. The 4-door crossover rides on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels as standard. The model also features a Premium package which adds aluminum roof rails and a Deluxe package which adds adaptive xenon headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels. It will be offered in Graphite Shadow, Hagane Blue, Black Obsidian, Liquid Platinum, Malbec Black, Midnight Garnet and Majestic White exterior colors. In terms of dimensions, the 2017 Infiniti QX50 stretches 186.8 inches long and 71 inches wide. It has a wheelbase of 113.4 inches. The Infiniti QX50 2017 has a curb weight of 3,855 lbs.

The interior of the 2017 Infiniti QX50 has been redesigned to offer more comfort, convenience and a more luxurious feeling. The 2017 QX50 is offered in a single but well equipped trim. The cabin accommodates five passengers on leather upholstered seats. The rear legroom has been extended by 4.3 inches which will provide a more comfortable ride to rear passengers. The driver’s seat is 8-way power adjustable while the front-passenger seat is 4-way power adjustable. The front seats are also heated. The rear seatbacks have a 60/40 split folding capability which helps expand cargo space from 18.6 cu.ft to 47.4 cu.ft. Other standard features include keyless entry and ignition, a dual-zone climate control system, a sunroof, a rearview camera, cruise control and a 6-speaker audio system. This sound system integrates Bluetooth connectivity and video/audio jacks. The system also features satellite radio, AM/FM radio and a CD player. For safety, traction and stability control, side curtain airbags, front-seat side airbags, front head restraints, antilock disc brakes and a forward-collision warning system are offered as standard. For extra features, the vehicle is offered with a number of packages. The first package is the Premium package which adds driver memory settings, a power-adjustable steering column, an advanced climate control system and an 11-speaker Bose audio system. This trim also adds a maple interior trim. The second Package is the Premium Plus package which introduces a Bluetooth streaming audio system, voice controls, a 360 degree camera, a navigation system and rear parking sensors. Moving higher, there is a Deluxe package which adds driver power lumbar, an 8-way power front passenger’s seat, power-folding 2nd row seats and an in-built coat hanger. The Last package is the Technology package which features a lane-departure warning system, adaptive cruise control and a blind-spot warning system.

Under the hood, the 2017 Infiniti QX50 is fitted with a 3.7-liter, V6 engine which produces 325 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission system that channels power to the rear wheels. An all-wheel-drive system is offered as an option. The engine powers the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and attains a top speed of 145 mph. In terms of fuel economy, the engine is estimated to return 17 mpg in city, 24 mpg on highway and 20 mpg on combined drives.

The Infiniti has not announced official prices of the 2017 Infiniti QX50 as of this writing. However, expect the vehicle to have an MSRP of around $35,000. The 2017 Infiniti QX50 will be delivered to dealer showrooms in the second half of 2017.
