2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron Review, Price

The 2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron said to be released in 2018, steps on the toes of rivals in the SUV category. And all in a good way. Constructed and developed to provide the ultimate in performance to SUV owners, the Quattro 6 is fully electric, using three electric motors to provide power totalling an output of 320 kWh. That is equal to 429 horsepower. Two of the motors drive the rear, while the third is responsible for the front axle, enabling the driver to mobilise even up to 370 kWh (495 hp) of torque while boosting temporarily. A further plus point is its drive management system with power being distributed to all four wheels, giving you optimal control.

The result? A sports car disguised as an SUV. Gone are the days of low performance and power output, the Audi Q6 provides owners with the chance to not only drive the kids to school but owning a car that can perform when needed on most terrains. (Gearbox options for either Drive or Sport are available.) Pretty impressive for an electric car of this size.

2018 Audi Q6 e-on – Superior Exterior and Interior Appearance

Exteriorly is the 2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron similar in appearance to the e-Tron Quattro, debuted in 2015. It seems the maximisation of aerodynamics Audi is so famous for, as well as its single-frame grille design, will once again feature in the Q6. Therefore the coupe-like, sleek design of the roof, and pure, modern lines to the sides, front and back.

The button-free interface and other high-tech amenities on the interior provide one with a feeling of superior class and modernity. Interactive display screens on the front dashboard, as well as interfaced within the instrument panel, are all digital. Superb! The 2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron comfortably seats four passengers, providing ample space on all sides for movement. Visually an appealing car.

Most Notable Features of the 2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron

Two of the most notable features of the 2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron are most certainly its superb standard in consumption and speed output. Similar to Tesla, is a lithium-ion battery pack fitted just underneath the passenger compartment, providing all three engines with the capability for reaching up to 210 km/h (130.5 mph or 0-62 mph.) What is even more impressive is the Q6 ability to reach 100 km/h (62.1 mph) or 130 mph in 4.6Â seconds from a point of standstill.

Electric cars with such power have in the past been known for its low mileage output. A headache to most electric car owners. Not the 2018 Audi Q6 e-Tron. Its 95 kWh battery pack delivers more than 300 miles with an even more impressive fuel consumption rate equaling 1.7 litres of diesel used over 138.4 mpg or 100 kilometres. Its emission rate is only 46 grammes CO2 per kilometre (74.0 g/mi), which is pretty impressive, and would be pleasing to most environmentally conscious drivers, taking into regard the average emission of a regular car sold during 2014 was 123.4 g of CO2 per kilometre.
